my approach
My name is Robert Artinian, and I teach guitar--acoustic as well as electric. I love working with beginners & have a passion for helping students get to the next level, wherever they're at.
Unlike some teachers who use the same collection of songs for every student, I take a highly-individualized & song-oriented approach to teaching. I start by asking each new student for a list of songs they personally love & hope to learn--and then we work from there ;) This way, you end up learning chords, strumming/picking patterns, scales, music theory, and other skills by learning whole songs--songs that you actually want to learn! And as we work our way through your personal song-list, your skills and confidence grow.
Sometimes in life, a little bit of help can save a whole lot of time. So just tell me where you want to go with guitar, and I'll help you get there--and get you there faster ;)
